I. ELIGIBILITY

  • Must be a Filipino citizen and a resident of the Philippines.
  • Participants must have a Point Blank Philippines game account that has been active for the last three (3) months. An account is considered as an active account if the player is able to log in his/her account and play regularly within the stated duration.
  • Each participating team member must be a member of the participating clan.
  • Participating clans should be composed of five (5) members.

III. TOURNAMENT MECHANICS

A. Online Wild Card

      • Schedule
        • February – Online Tourney 1
        • March – Online Tourney 2

      • GM will announce the start of submission of entry on the official Facebook page.
      • Submit your registration form via google docs which will be posted in FB fanapge and filled out all the necessary details.
        • Note: Incorrect registration format is not valid.
      • First eight (8) teams to register within the announced date of registration per batch will have the chance to play.
      • There will be no substitution. The team may choose to play with one (1) absent team member. However, if at least two members are not present during the match, their team will be disqualified.
      • There will be 5 minutes waiting time.
      • Game Bracket and team designation for the playing dates will be announced in the official Point Blank PH forum: pbforums.e-games.com.ph.
      • Personal accounts will be used. HK-69 and other grenade launchers are prohibited from the event.
      • Winning team per week will advance to the semis, until championship.
      • Game condition
        • Game Type: Bomb Mission
        • Map: GM’s decision
        • Team: GM’s decision
        • Game time: three (3) minutes
      • Max game round format

Eliminations: Five (5) rounds.

After reaching a total of 5 team kills (total kills of blue and red teams), a change of teams will take place.

First team who scores six (6) wins shall be declared the winner.

Semis: Seven (7) rounds.

After reaching a total of 7 team kills (total kills of blue and red teams), a change of teams will take place.

First team who scores eight (8) wins shall be declared the winner.

Finals: Nine (9) rounds.

After reaching a total of 9 team kills (total kills of blue and red teams), a change of teams will take place.

First team who scores ten (10) wins shall be declared the winner.

      • Captain’s mode map selection:
        • For online eliminations, the GM will choose the map, while the game bracketing will be determined via the Challonge tournament bracket generator.
        • Maps: Downtown, Luxville, Outpost, Midtown, Stormtube, Blowcity, Sentrybase, Hospital, Sandstorm
      • Disconnections
        • If 1-2 players get disconnected, the match continues and disconnected players can re-join the game.
        • If 3 or more players get disconnected, the match will be stopped. Head marshal will take note of the current score and individual kills. The match will be re-started but scores will be set to scores before the disconnection.
        • Example:
          • Match Stopped due to connectivity issue.
          • Red Team = 3
          • Blue Team = 2
          • Match will be restarted with the same settings, but scores will be set to previous scores by killing themselves.
          • Once scores have been returned to original settings, the next round will resume the match.

B. Tournament Rules

      • Each team shall consist of five (5) members. Including the team leader.
      • Players may change the keyboard configuration, weapon handedness, and mouse sensitivity.
      • Players may select their primary weapons and backpack alternate weapons.
      • Players may purchase any weapon that is not already owned by the character and use that as their primary and/or alternate weapon.
      • Players may not change their class nor delete/create characters.
      • Players may bring their own keyboard, mouse, and/or headset for the tournament.
      • The café management per location has the right to refuse participants from changing the PC settings, or not allow participants to use a contestant’s hardware. In that case, participants will have to make do with only the settings that can be changed.
      • A toss coin will settle which team will be on whose side for the first set (red or blue). This will be the only time a toss coin will be used to determine sides. Winner of the toss coin will have the privilege to choose which map to use for that match.
      • If a player gets disconnected, the game will still continue, and the disconnected player must log back in again as soon as possible. If an entire team gets disconnected, the opposing team will automatically win.
      • If both teams get disconnected, the following rules will apply:
        • If the disconnection occurred within the first 1 minute of the game, the entire match will be restarted.
        • If the disconnection occurred after the first 1 minute of the game, the team who has the most points before the disconnection will be considered the winner of that set.
      • Technical issues encountered during the event will be assessed by the field marshal(s). Only major technical problems will merit game suspension and/or restart at the discretion of the field marshal.
      • Warning
        • After a warning is given, the game continues. When three (3) warnings are accumulated by the team during the match, on the fourth warning the team will be disqualified from the tournament.
        • Bad-mouthing will result in 1 warning for the whole team.
        • All names (clan name, in-game name etc.) must not be rude, derogatory, racist or inflammatory.
        • Game Loss: Game Loss means that the team will automatically lose the game irrelevant of the actual match results.
        • Disqualifications: Will lead to the team being rejected from the tournament. They will not be allowed to take part in the current event.
        • Game continues even when a player(s) gets disconnected.
        • The decision of the tournament director is FINAL.

C. Road to Live

      • Qualified participants will battle it out for the right to become one of the two (2) contenders for the championship match.
      • Schedule of semi-finals is on June 8, 2013

 

 

IV. GENERAL RULES

        • Team Registration Requirements:
          • All members must have an active game account for the last 3 months and should be registered under their names. An account is considered as an active account if the player is able to log in and play the account regularly within the stated duration.

            • Adult: 21 years old and above (at least one ID per member)
            • Passport
            • Voter’s ID
            • TIN ID
            • SSS ID
            • Pag-ibig ID
            • Driver’s License
            • PRC ID
            • NBI clearance
            • Company ID
            • School ID
            • Senior Citizen ID
            • Minor: 20 years old and below
            • Student ID
            • Parents’ ID (both mother and father)
            • Birth certificate
              Players Responsibilities and Guidelines

                • Teams must designate a Team Captain who will handle all decisions for the team. Field Marshals will consider decisions made by the team captain as final for the entire team.
                • Setup period before the actual match is 5 minutes ONLY.
                • Players who fail to take advantage of the 5 minute setup time must begin playing with whatever configuration and character setup they are left with. No time extension for the setup will be given.
                • Substitutions are not allowed except at the Level Up Live Championships, and only if the team provides a valid reason and other requirements to support their claim. The provided reason and documents are still subject to the tournament committee’s approval.
                • For example, in case of health reasons, the player must provide a medical certificate and other documents that will support their claim.
  • The substitute must be within Metro Manila area or within the team’s area.
  • Disqualification Rules
    • If two (2) or more members fail to arrive at the venue for their scheduled match, the present complete team will be declared as the automatic winner.
    • Intentional disconnection (ALT F4/Manual DC) will lead to the forfeiture of the match.
    • Players are expected to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner at all times. Teams/members of the team exhibiting unruly conduct will be disqualified, handing the opposing team the match.
    • FOULS:
      • Zoning Foul – This is defined as moving your character in an unauthorized area or refusing to follow move orders issued by the GM in-game.
      • Skill Foul – This is defined as using skills in the tournament area before the countdown by the head marshal.
      • Striking Foul – This is defined as striking any of the GMs in game.
      • Technical Foul – This is defined as engaging in any behavior that is unsportsmanlike and includes excessive profanity or violence against property or individuals including the marshals.
  • Players are not allowed to abandon their terminals without the marshal’s approval. Teams with at least one (1) member who abandoned their terminal without the marshal’s approval will be disqualified and are not eligible to claim any prizes from the tournament.
  • Employees, suppliers and service providers of Playweb Games Inc. and their relatives up to the second degree of consanguinity are disqualified from joining any stage, including the finals, of any Level Up! Live 2013 tournament and any of its sub-tournaments. This also includes the use of characters they own and accounts they maintain.
  • Playweb Games Inc. has the right to hold and not give all prizes of disqualified teams.
  • Road to Live Rules (online eliminations)
    • It is the responsibility of the team to assure / check their internet connection’s performance. Any disconnections due to connection failure / lag or latency will not re-start the match.
    • During online eliminations (Road to Live), all members of a team are required to play in one shop as mutually agreed upon with Playweb Games Inc.
    • Level Up! Live Requirements
      • For Level Up! Live Finalists, all members are required to submit the following within the date specified by the tournament committee:
        • Copy of Valid I.D. with age (or birthdate), picture, and signature
        • Waiver and Release of Liability Form (original copy)
        • Parental Consent Form (original copy) for 20 years old and below players
        • Bank Account Number (this will be used for cash prize deposits)
  • Teams can use one bank account, for as long as they all agree and submit a signed Team Bank Waiver Form Agreement (original copy) to the tournament committee.
  • Playweb Games Inc. has the right to disqualify and replace the team that failed to submit all Level Up Live Tournament requirements.
  • The team captain or a duly authorize representative must attend the designated players briefing for the Level Up! Live Tournament.
  • Technical issues encountered during the event will be assessed by the Field Marshal(s). Only major technical problems will merit game suspension and/or restart at the discretion of the Field Marshal.
  • Players who argue with or fail to follow the instructions of the Tournament Director, head judge or other tournament officials are subject to the appropriate penalties as dictated by the severity of the case.
  • Playweb Games Inc. and/or officials of the LU Live 2013 Tournament Committee shall reserve the right to suspend or ban a player or clan without prior notice for any reason deemed necessary.
  • Participants must follow the rules interpretations and guidelines set forth by the Tournament Committee, the Tournament Director, the head judge, and other tournament officials.
  • The decision of the Referees, Game Masters, and tournament officials IS FINAL.

                              • Prizes will only be awarded to the registered account of each player.
